Corona update

We'd like to keep you well-informed on the measures and protocols we've taken in our clinic, but also on the situation in Belgium, updates on travel advice and basically everything relevant to you as our patient concerning Corona.

Consultations on hold, currently only surgeries

As the alarming phase in Belgium has been reached, we are adjusting our imposed measures at the clinic to ensure maximum safety for both our patients and staff. As we want to limit the amount of people that are present in our clinic simultaneously, we have no other choice but limiting our activities to surgeries only. All other type of appointments and treatments are temporarily put on hold. For these patients, we’re offering a Zoom meeting or the option to reschedule the appointment to 2021, provided that circumstances are allowing an in-house visit. Despite these new measures, we will remain 24/7 at your disposal and do our utmost best to serve you as quickly as possible with your request and/or questions per e-mail on This email address is being protected from spambots. We also recommend following your local government’s communication concerning COVID-19 measures and travel advice as this could vary per country.
Thank you for your understanding.

Travel advice

The FPS is advising against all overseas travel. Due to the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, travellers returning from a red zone will no longer be under the obligation to be tested, until further notice, except in the case of obvious symptoms. However, depending on their answers to the self-assessment questionnaire attached to the Passenger Locator Form, they may be required to comply with a quarantine extended to 10 days.
Travellers should be aware that new COVID-19 outbreaks abroad can greatly affect their trip and that repatriation cannot be guaranteed if commercial flights are suspended or borders closed.

Dear patient,

Social distance is key to fight this virus and therefore our clinic has carefully taking specific measures to secure your health: temperature scanners, mouth masks, implemented protocols for disinfecting hands and mouth, seperate restrooms, the installation in every room of the certified Novaerus to protection against all airborne viruses and bacteria, biodegradable beverage cups for coffee and water,... We've also implemented Zoom meetings to reduce the visitors in our clinic and for patients who can't travel abroad.

Clinic protocols

Our medical staff has always worked with protective mouth masks and gloves. But since the major lockdown, we've implemented protocols and measures to ensure the patient's health and safety as much as possible:

  • As from October 9, Dr. Feriduni is taking a test on every patient before surgery
  • Every patient's temperature is taken when entering the clinic
  • There are multiple automatic dispensers to disinfect your hands thoroughly
  • We offer biodegradable coffee cups, cutlery and plates for drinks and lunch
  • We've installed a large protective shield at our welcome desk
  • In every room there is a Novaerus dis-infection and odour control which protects against all airborne viruses and bacteria
  • Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory everywhere in the clinic
  • Before the personal consultation in Dr. Feriduni's office, the furniture and ipad are being disinfected
  • We've limited our consultations in the clinic to a minimum; Zoom consultations are implemented in our agenda
  • Before surgery, the patient needs to disinfect his/her mouth with specialised mouth water
  • Our staff is divided in 2 teams: in the operation room, the lunch area,...
  • Our administrative team is working remote in turn
  • Staff can only enter the dressing room one per one
The patient's health is always our first priority.

Consultation Committee implements stricter lockdown !!!

Today, the federal government and the governments of the federated states have decided in the Consultation Committee to implement a stricter lockdown. The stricter rules are necessary to stem the growing pressure on our hospitals and reverse the infection curve as quickly and drastically as possible.

  • Social life

    • Each family member is entitled to close contact with 1 person. Families can only invite 1 person to their home at any one time, with whom they have close contact. No other visitors are allowed to the home. An exception can be made for people who live alone: they are still allowed 1 visitor in addition to the 1 person with whom they have close contact, but not at the same time.
    • Gatherings outdoors: rule of four, with social distancing
    • Funerals are allowed with up to 15 attendees. Without catering or reception afterwards.
    • Houses of prayer can be open, but without worship services. Gatherings of up to 4 people are allowed, with face mask and with social distancing.
    • Borders are not closed in accordance with European guidelines, but travelling abroad is strongly discouraged.
    • Marriages can only take place in the presence of the spouses, witnesses and civil registrars.
  • Economic life

    • Homeworking is mandatory wherever possible. Where homeworking is not possible, face masks and ventilation are mandatory.
    • Holiday parks and campsites must be completely closed from Tuesday morning 3 November. In holiday parks, indoor and outdoor activities must cease until then. Swimming pools, restaurants and bars must close.  Meals must be eaten in holiday homes, each family individually.
    • Hotels and B&Bs remain open, but restaurants and bars must close. Meals must be eaten in rooms.
    • Non-essential shops must close, but are allowed to organise collection and home delivery of goods ordered in advance. There is no access to shops if goods are collected.
    • To maintain a level playing field, supermarkets and markets (< 200 people) must limit their offering to what is on sale in essential shops.
    • Garages and bicycle shops can only carry out repairs.
    • Non-medical contact professions (including hairdressers, make-up artists, wellness centres, massage parlours, beauty salons) must close.
    • Companies and agricultural businesses can remain open, subject to compliance with homeworking, face mask and social distancing obligations.
    • Zoos must close.
    • Schools

      • Classes for all education levels will be suspended on 12 and 13 November. Classes will resume on Monday 16 November.
For secondary education, pupils in the second and third grades will switch to a maximum of 50% contact education until 1 December. Before 1 December, we will evaluate whether up to 100% contact education will be possible again.
For higher education, distance learning will be provided:
      • For first-year students: until 1 December when they can follow contact education again.
      • For older students, at least until the end of the calendar year.
      • Teachers must have online meetings; the same applies for pedagogical study days.
      • No physical teambuildings are allowed

Start date and end date

    • The measures will apply throughout the territory from Monday 2 November 2020.
    • The measures will apply for one and a half months until Sunday 13 December 2020 inclusive. For non-essential shops, the situation will be assessed by the Consultation Committee on 1 December.
Stay safe!
